League Play
The league play at Stinger's Golf Club provides members with a fun and competitive way to enjoy the sport of golf. With a variety of leagues to choose from, including men's, women's, and mixed leagues, players of all skill levels can participate and improve their game. The league play also offers an opportunity for members to socialize and form lasting friendships with fellow golf enthusiasts.
League Play Information:
1. League Format: The indoor golf simulator league at Stinger's Golf Club is a friendly competition where participants can enjoy golfing during the off-season. It is open to both individuals and teams. There will be 6 different flights for men’s leagues, and the women’s league will be handicapped and flighted as well.
2. League Schedule: The league will run for a duration of 10 weeks, with one round of play per week. Players can play multiple rounds in a week if unavailable a previous or future week. Each round will consist of 18 holes.
3. League Divisions: Depending on the number of participants, the league can be divided into divisions based on skill level or handicap to ensure fair competition. There will be Flights for Scratch or better Golfers, 1-5 Handicaps, 6-10 Handicaps, 11-16 handicaps, 17-24 handicaps, and 25+ handicaps.
4. Scoring: The leagues will feature more than just stroke play, Stinger’s Golf will use a Stableford scoring system, and also feature Match Play Tournaments, and many other game formats! Each league you sign up for will cover the rules for that specific league, and have a form that each golfer signs an agreement with the League dues so the rules are clear and concise.
5. Tee Times: Participants will be able to book tee times for each round. It is important to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tee time to ensure a timely start. Most leagues will have a couple-hour window throughout the day to ensure each league member can play their 10 rounds in the span of the season.
6. League Fees: 10-week leagues will begin at $75 entry fees, not including round booking fees. There will be a league entry fee per participant. This fee will cover the cost of league administration, and potential prizes for the winners.
7. Prizes: At the end of the season, prizes will be awarded to the top performers in each division. Prizes can include cash prizes, gift cards, golf equipment, or other golf-related merchandise.
League Play Rules:
1. Simulators: Stinger's Golf Club will provide indoor golf simulators for league play. Each participant will have access to a designated simulator during their scheduled tee time.
2. Etiquette: Participants are expected to adhere to proper golf etiquette, even though they are indoors. This includes maintaining a respectful and friendly atmosphere, not disturbing other players, and having fun!
3. Equipment: We request participants to bring their own golf clubs, however, we do have club rentals at Stinger's Golf Club. It is important to handle the equipment with care and report any damages to the staff.
4. Pace of Play: To ensure smooth gameplay, participants should strive to maintain a reasonable pace of play, and finish the golf round in the allotted time booked ahead.
5. League Rules: The league will follow the official rules of golf with some adaptations to accommodate the indoor simulator environment. Local rules and any additional league-specific rules will be announced and provided to participants prior to the start of the league.
